Advantages and Disadvantages of Questionnaires

Advantages of this research method:
I believe by using a questionnaire it will be a rather helpful research method, as you will be able to collect data from large amount of people quickly and efficiently. Generally, it is easy to make and isn't time consuming method to use. Also, because everyone answers the same question, it is rather simple to convert the information into a graph of some sort. Questionnaires can used be used to explore sensitive material, as they can be anonymous and complete in private.

Disadvantages of this research method:
On the other hand, there are some disadvantages of questionnaires such as respondents can misunderstand the questions, tick more than one box, or deliberately invalidate the research methods, meaning unreliable set of data. Sometimes people's answer could be persuaded by friends, so you could be unsure whether if the true answers the respondents are accurate. At times some individuals can be rather vague when answering open questions, which could be hard to explore complex issues and opinions.

Conclusion:
Overall, there seem to be both advantages and disadvantages with this research method, but I'm hoping that the questions I have asked, will give me the information I need to produce a successful magazine.
